>>12953AnalysisOne of the great strengths of Jenny’s work is her ability to explain not just the what but also the
why. In one video she explored the way mental illness is portrayed in movies like Split and Finding Dory is deeply problematic. In another she analysed all the Christmas Prince movies by using only color theory. She also did videos laying out what she considers the bad reasons people had for hating The Last Jedi and loving Rogue One.

Twilight the Musical (2009)While in High School, Jenny made her first appearance on YouTube when she and her friends wrote and starred in a musical parody of the Twilight saga called Twilight the Musical. Jenny and a friend would alternate playing Bella Swan, the joke being that Bella was such a bland character it wouldn’t matter if the actress playing was swapped out. According to Jenny lot of viewers did not get this joke and just wondered why the actress kept changing. While a full script was written only 4 episodes were filmed and posted on YouTube.

Sherclop Pones (2011-2015)A lifelong fan of My Little Pony, Jenny got joined up with Griffin once again to produce Friendship is Witchcraft, a parody abridged series of the animated show Friendship is Magic. While their show very quickly became popular in the MLP/Brony fandom their videos were constantly taken off YouTube due to copyright strikes by Hasbro. Even though the videos got a lot of views, they were unable to monetize the show due to copyright issues. Because creating the show was hard and largely unrewarding work and since they were both busy with college at the time, only nine episodes were made. Later they performed a tenth and final episode as a live table read at Everfree 2015. Jenny also continued creating solo content on the channel as Kimi Sparkle, a My Little Pony reviewer who was comically bad at doing reviews. At one point they planned to do a movie called "Horse Women" which would have been a parody of the Equestria Girls movie but this project was eventually abandoned. Recently there’s been a resurgence in interest in her work as several of her original songs from Friendship is Witchcraft have become popular on TikTok.

TSD Bookclub (2014-2015)Alongside her friends Bailey Meyers and Griffin Lewis she created TSD Bookclub where they each took a turn reading chapters from The Forbidden Game Book 1: The Hunter by L.J. Smith while providing humorous commentary. The channel was abandoned right before the final chapter was read and currently the channel’s contents have been made private and is no longer visible to the public. As a side note, by the end of the series, Bailey would usually have a drink while reading and making fun of the story. This would later become the signature style of her own show called Goosedrunks.

Con Artists (2016)Con Artists was a mockumentary style YouTube show Jenny did with her best friend Bailey Meyers. In it they played Jess and Whitney, a couple of misfit best friends who - despite knowing nothing of nerd culture or comics - decide that cosplay will be their ticket to fame and fortune. Only 3 episodes were made because Jenny wasn’t entirely happy with the end result. While she said she had a fun time making it she didn’t have the budget to create the mockumentary she envisioned. They were also limited by the kind of jokes they could pull off because showing up in character with a cameraman in tow made con attendees wary, fearing that this may be a prank at their expense, and she didn’t have enough actor friends to play those parts for her instead.

Screen Junkies & Millenial Falcon (2017)In 2017 Jenny signed a one year contract with Screen Junkies. She appeared as a panelist on various episodes and acted as a roving reporter for the channel. She also had her own show called Millenial Falcon, in which she discussed various Star Wars related topics in a talk show format. She did episodes of Millenial Falcon in character as “Jenny Nicholson”, a version of herself that was extremely socially awkward, standoffish and rude. Twenty five episodes were made but one episode (Episode 16: "Hot Comic Con Cosplay Babes") was later removed from YouTube due to the circumstances surrounding Andy Signore's firing from Screen Junkies. Screen Junkies did not renew their contract with her once it expired.

OtherJenny sometimes collaborates with other YouTubers, most notably with voice work. She received a lot of praise for her role as Addison Cain in Into The Omegaverse: How a Fanfic Trope Landed in Federal Court by Lindsay Ellis, a role she got to reprise in the follow up video Addison Cain's lawyer e-mailed me, and it only got worse from there. Later she also played author JK Rowling in Lindsay’s video Tracing the Roots of Pop Culture Transphobia.

Personal Life
Jenny Nicholson was born on September 6, 1991 in the Bay Area, Northern California. As a child, she enjoyed writing stories and skits and acting them out with her stuffed animals, making up voices for the different characters. In high school, she joined the drama department to try acting for the first time but never got cast in any school plays until her senior year. Frustrated at having no outlet for her creative energy she and her close friend Griffin Lewis wrote and starred in a musical parody of Twilight.
Later, while at university, she and Griffin would once again collaborate to create Friendship is Witchcraft, an abridged My Little Pony series featuring original songs written by Griffin and performed by Jenny. This quickly became a hit in the fandom and made Jenny “Horse Famous” (a celebrity in the Brony subculture) and she got invited to do panels at various Brony conventions. In her freshman year of college she needed money for a trip to Japan so she entered a play-writing contest at her school. Even though she was a psychology student and wasn’t taking Creative Writing or Drama as subjects she wrote a parody of Oedipus Rex a week before the deadline and her play won even though she was competing against people in the MFA Creative Writing graduate level classes. She would eventually add English as a minor, even though creative writing was something she loved and was passionate about, she felt like majoring in English would be a waste of money. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology minoring in English.
After graduation, she moved to Anaheim, California to work at Disneyland. Jenny had a lifelong love of horses and had been riding and grooming horses since she was a tween and so she got her first job at Disneyland Circle D, working at the stables and the petting zoo. She excelled at this work and made it to the position of supervisor before deciding to leave that part of the park for a job at Guest relations. Here she would do a wide variety of tasks, from helping with tours to manning the help desk and dealing with complaints. Even though she is a naturally shy person who suffers from social anxiety she excelled at this job and said she enjoyed dealing with difficult guests.
In 2016 a couple of videos from her small, personal channel went viral after being shared on Reddit and her subscriber count grew exponentially. As her YouTube channel became more popular and lucrative she started taking fewer shifts at Disneyland to devote more of her attention to her channel. By mid 2017 her channel was so successful that she quit her job at Disney to become a full time Youtuber. Her channel has since continued to grow, as has her support on Patreon where she quickly became one of the top 100 highest earning creators.
In 2021 she was nominated for a Hugo Award for her video "The Last Bronycon: A fandom autopsy"

>>12967Jeff the Killer 2
Jenny was originally going to make a video regarding Welcome to the Mansion, the sequel to the book she reviewed in the video Insanity: A Jeff the Killer Fanfiction, but due to the behaviour of some viewers towards the author, Neesha Nickleson, she decided against it. Even though Jenny repeatedly asked her viewers to leave the author alone and to not spam her book with negative reviews, Neesha was overwhelmed with harassment, to the point where she wanted to remove her work from sale. Jenny left a statement about the affair as a pinned comment on the original Jeff the Killer video.

>>12967Disney Shill Accusations
Jenny occasionally gets accused of being a “shill” for Disney, usually when her opinion of a Disney product differs from that of the most vocal parts of the online fan community. While she is open about the fact that she loves Disney and did work for them for several years, at no point was she involved in any form of marketing for them and there is no evidence that she has received any form of compensation from Disney to speak favorably about their products. On the contrary, she has been critical of several Disney products, even ones generally beloved by other fans, like Rogue One. She also criticized the way the Disney Corporation treated cast members during the Coronavirus epidemic.

Racism Accusations
There have been frequent attempts to smear Jenny as a racist on Twitter by spreading doctored images allegedly showing old racist tweets from her account. These attempts have persisted even though Jenny has proven that those accusations are based on faked images. So far all attempts to “cancel” Jenny have been unsuccessful.
See Jenny's Twitter thread about the faked tweets here:

>>12967GriffinGate
Jenny's relationship with long time close friend and creative partner Griffin Lewis came to a very ugly end in September 2018. In a series of now deleted tweets, Griffin railed against Jenny, calling her mentally ill and abusive. He swore that he "had receipts" and was going to make a video telling his side and expose her as a bully[10]. After the initial outburst he deleted his statements and never actually produced any proof of his accusations. Jenny has not commented on the matter directly other than mentioning being threatened by a friend "struggling with addiction" in a deleted tweet from the time.

Jenny Quotes
>"Hey, you know in The Good Dinosaur, how the Dad Dinosaur dies and it’s, like, a freak accident just because life isn’t fair and your parents can’t be there forever? No, you don’t know that, because nobody saw The Good Dinosaur."
>"I've heard a lot of buzz around this book, and…it's negative buzz. It's like wasps, instead of bumblebees."
>"It looks almost the same [as the first target Porg], but just different enough to unnerve and confuse you. Like waking up in your house to find everything shifted an inch to the right. Your family at breakfast. But something unfamiliar behind their eyes. This Porg exists to gaslight me."
>"If Han Solo's name is supposed to be literal, and that's something that characters in this universe are capable of recognizing… who promoted General Grievous? "This Grievous guy, he's a good candidate!" Why wasn't Darth Vader like "oh… you're naming me the German word for 'father'? That's a bit cruel, actually, because you just told me that my wife and babies died! That's true, isn't it?""
>"Which I guess is like saying that everything that happens is dumb. That's not what I meant, but that's what it sounds like."
>"I would imagine that no matter what life-threatening situation I found myself in, I wouldn't suddenly start to think "Gosh… I would even accept the help of the Zodiac Killer right now! Why did I always hate the Zodiac Killer? Y'know, I always had really unkind thoughts about the Zodiac Killer, but if they could somehow magically appear right here and now, and decide to save me from the bad thing that was happening, I would just feel like an idiot for not liking them!"
>"Hugo is a miserable excuse for a Porg that fails in every conceivable way. Hugo is a walking avocado with a face only a mother could love. His dream is to play the trombone one day in a marching band, which is a foolish dream. Porgs can't play the trombone! Their mouths and flippers just aren't built for it! Hugo couldn't Porg his way out of a paper bag. 0/10"
>"A vampire's existence is inherently selfish. They need to drink blood to survive. So every day of Elena's existence would become an assertion that she has a right to live and a right to take up space. I think I just implied that drinking blood is self care, but it's not not that, figuratively or literally."
>"Wow he died the way he lived, wasting my time."
>"There make be snakes!"
>"That's why if you meet Kylo Ren at Disneyland and try to hug him, you get yelled at. Not that I tried to hug him. But if you do, that's what happens."
>"There’s that moment Thanos has hold of Gamora, and Gamora’s like “Peter, shoot me!” and Peter’s like “I don’t wanna shoot you!” and Thanos is, like, mocking him, like “Yeah, do it, Peter, shoot her, shoot her!” and it’s just like every time I bring a boy home to meet my parents."
>"Loving something unconditionally doesn't mean you love it more. It means you love it sadder."

>>12973One of the most contentious pieces of Jenny trivia will probably always be her height. The actual wiki had a references section and I chose not to add one here because there was no way to make it work in a way that wouldn't be excessively convoluted but since this debate will probably never die down I will make this one exception.
I listed Jenny's height as 5'6 because that is how tall she claims to be. In her ramble video "Comment Related Grievances" from May 22, 2017 at about 10 minutes in she discusses her social anxiety and mentions that she's 5'6.
Now not everyone accepts this as fact but this is her claim and that's why it's listed in the wiki.
What I can however say with very high certainty is that IMDB and all the other online sources that claim her height is 5'1, are wrong. The attached picture definitively debunks that I believe.
